Two of my never-seen-before sets that worked very well on my Hail team:
Abomasnow @ Expert Belt
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Atk / 120 SAtk
Quiet Nature
- Substitute
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Focus Punch
This Abomasnow has many advantages over the standard ones. Due to being Quiet, his Hail will be set up AFTER Tyranitar's Sandstorm, or Politoed's Rain, setting you up for a weather advantage from the start. It can throw up a Sub on most Water types, and demolish opponents with his excellent coverage - not even fearing Heatran or Blissey, that usually wall it. Only a few things, like Victini and Volcarona, can actually switch safely into this.
Scrafty @ Choice Band
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Hi Jump Kick
- Drain Punch
- Crunch
- Ice Punch
I used this since I needed something to actually switch into Tyranitar, but it ended up doing so much more. It's easily the best non-steel type bulky attacker I've ever used. Intimidate is probably the best ability in the game, and he uses it excellently - nothing outside of STAB Close Combats and Hurricanes can OHKO this thing, and most attacks don't even 2HKO. People expect Scrafty to need set-up before doing damage, so they send stuff like Jirachi, which then loses 80% of his HP, and can't wall your dragons anymore. Ghosts will be scared of switching in due to the threat of Crunch, and if the team is weakened, you can just start spamming Drain Punch for the win, since again, most things can't deal too much damage to him.
