add a way to skip all the forced "plot" related talking and shit like that. Capcom did that with "Castlevania: aria of sorrow" very well, whenever there was a cutscene or a dialogue, you could simply press start and continue playing if you didn't care about the story. Little option, huge difference, no cons at all.

It's not "anti-nostalgia" when you're pointing out legitimate flaws. Gen 1 was a buggy piece of shit compared to any other gen, though thankfully good enough that the series kept going.

Not going back to Gen I as a whole, just the battle mechanics. Like one special stat, Hyper beam doesn't recharge if it knocks out a Pokemon, speed determines critical hit rates, wrap prevents the opponent from attacking, etc.

Gender dysphoria is a legitimate medical thing we have proof for, unlike the whole "gay gene" thing there is 100% evidence for this, it's not just attention whoring. However for something like pokémon you should really just pick whichever one you prefer, there's no point in adding an "other" option. What would the trainer even look like? Besides in later games if there's enough customisation you could just make your trainer look androgynous anyway.
