With team preview, you can sort of make sure you've eliminated a few threats before you bust him out.

You will encounter Low Kick or Grass Knot more times than you will be using Heavy Slam. I don't understand why you are arguing about this. Autotomize is a very slightly better version of Rock Polish, end of discussion.

If you want to use Rock Polish, go ahead, it's not really going to make a difference in the end, but don't act like it's the better option.
