Does anyone else think the new font is weird? It looks like something out of a cheap smart phone app, or even RPG Maker XP and later.

I seriously don't believe you know what "sans serif" even means.

Practically ALL Pokemon games use a sans serif font. Do these all look the same to you?

It's very similar to Arial (well, Arial Narrow), a very common font (formerly a default on word processing programs), so it has a very plain, generic look to it. Add to that the anti-aliasing and you have something very foreign looking to most Pokemon players (and game players in general, really). I hope it's just a stand-in font.

That might not be the final font. They've changed it from the time between the first trailers and images and release for previous games.

The text box itself looks cheap and tacky, like something from a freemium smartphone app. The text looks too large and generic. A small box at the bottom of the screen using FRLG/Ranger fonts would look much nicer.
