I found them each on Craigslist over the years. I got a pretty good deal them individually!

They go for a ton of money on the old eBay (When they sell, Nintendo takes them down a lot apparently). I paid $20 bucks a piece, except for the Deoxys which i paid $50 for.

That said, I imagine it's a great investment when you find a pokemon nut who would be willing to pay for a shiny legendary dog or two.

I've actually downloaded a .rom file of a Victini (Liberty Ticket) event cart. As long as you have the correct date of the distribution set on the DS, you can give out as many Liberty Tickets as you want (well, one per 5th gen cart, obviously).

Pretty sure you can find one on Amazon or Ebay, something... but I remember 3rd gen events working through link cable until the wireless adapter was introduced... I have no idea how that went down, though.

Dunno if i understood that correctly but i think there is a ROM of the Deoxys event from 2008
you put it in a flashcard and then you can distribute Deoxys, also there is a "patcher" to put just any pokemon in the ROM

Well you can use GBABackup to back your cartridge save and then download a save file with the eon ticket and use VBA to mix records so you transfer the eon ticket to your save
lastly you put the new save file in the cartridge and voila! a "legit" eon ticket

Its an old copy of nintendo power with the Eon Ticket in it! If you take the card and put it through a e-reader for gba i would give you the in game Item!

OP, first just let me tell you how utterly overcome with jelly I am. You could spread me on toast and eat me for breakfast.

Secondly, may I ask, would you ever be open to the idea of distributing/trading some of those Pokemon to other people on /vp/? I don't want to come out with a sob story or anything, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dying to get my hands on a Deoxys in a 4th Gen game.
I got the BW2 one earlier this month, but its not the same. I've maxed out my file of Pokemon Diamond at 999:59, and completed everything BUT the Pokedex. There's three big gaping holes in it, and one of them is Deoxys (The other two are Arceus and Shaymin)

Do you think you'd ever want to trade some of those legendaries to your fellow /vp/oreons?

Each cart/game is restricted to one Event Pokemon, yes? Would my current Pokemon Diamond be compatible with your DPPt Deoxys distribution cart, or will it not work because of dates and time and stuff like that?

God I feel like such a loser but if my Pokemon on that game didn't mean as much to me as they do I'd be pretty willing to mail my game to you. That's a lot of blind faith to put into someone online you don't know though.

Oh I'm not the Deoxys guy, I just started playing Pokémon after 10 years and got all starry eyed with the idea of rare and legit legendaries :)

Since my Black 2 is brand new and I can reset it whenever, my plan right now is to get as many Deoxys as I can to negotiate with them later, have 10 already.

i pretty much feel the same! people usually get impatient but look up the pokemon stats and make sure they look legit. also one that hackers never check for. make sure it was caught in a place that it can actually be caught. any time anyone ever offered me a shiny it was almost always from the wrong area! weird how noone ever checked for it...

Just don't trade, anyone who knows what they're doing can generate a perfectly legit-looking pokemon and if you consider events from distro roms as hacking then there is no way of assuring you're getting a "legit" pokemon
