You can't run unsigned code on it. It will only enable piracy. You don't need to worry about pokegen or hackers.

It has nothing to do with that.
It's basically the 3DS equivalent of R4 carts, Acekards, etc as far as I can tell

Probably less. Gen 3 and gen 5 had their sales destroyed due to how easy it was to pirate them

gen 4 was slightly better because NDS emulators still had major issues
