When I first played pokemon, I remember getting TMs and the game explained them as being "single use."

I never realize this meant that the move could only be taught to a pokemon once. I thought they meant that once I taught the move, I could only use it ONCE and then the move would disappear from the moveslot. Naturally, I never used a TM because I figured youd need to be a moron to use something like that.

These two are just plain false
None of the baby Pokemon are even normal types except Azuril (and technically Togepi, but that's a different story)
And knowing what types a Pokemon is (since there are tons of flying types that are outright weak to ghost, or don't resist it) is one of the most basic things to do in Pokemon.

Of course X type Pokemon are going to evolve into X type Pokemon. Why would you even think otherwise? That's basically the only reason I mentioned Azuril, which is the only exception to that. Smoochum is still ice/psychic, elekid is still electric, magby is still fire, budew is still grass/poison. To say that "a few of the normal types have baby Pokemon" would be more accurate, but that's incredibly obvious for a thread about information that you just learned.

And it doesn't evolve into an Espeon with a Sunstone or an Umbreon with a Moonstone. Well I used to believe that when I first played Gold and was really disappointed that I worked so hard for a Sunstone from the bug catching contest and I got no Espeon out of the deal. When I first played Gold, I got my Growlithe to like lvl 70 before I learned it needed a Fire Stone. I also did that to Vileplume, and only not to Jigglypuff because they practically throw Moon Stones at your face in certain points.

I'm pretty sure in the anime they said Sudowoodu was Grass type too, so when I went to catch it in Gold, I used my Crocnaw's water gun or whatever to gradually weaken it and then I killed it.

There is an Antidote hidden under that big tree at the entrance of Viridian Forest in FR/LG (and possibly other gens too).

Found that just yesterday, and I played FR/LG countless of times before. Dang I felt like such a retard when I found out.

lol I found this by accident when I first played ruby. I went to talk to the woman with the egg but didn't turn to her by accident and got an ice heal. i hadn't heard of hidden items before so it blew my mind.
