They decided to keep it. I honestly dont give a shit either way, at least in random wifi you dont have to worry abotu rocks and rain because there are other unrestricted playstyles you can use.

This is why I enjoy unrestricted battles that follow the VGC format, it allows for fun battles that require your own strategy and absolute freedom. Even the most NU pokemon instantly become top tier threats with the support of a balanced team.

Even then, VGC is all about strategy, and seeing how uncreative most people are, its no wonder why they copy paste the same hitmontop and cresselia teams.

You can make some really interesting teams in VGC and in single battles.

Wolfe Glicke uses a skillswap team with heatran and basically gives his heatran levitate. Like I said, there are some damn good combinations and strategies available in VGC, you just have to find them

I love VGC the most, and that's why I made a vow to not use Garchomo, Tyranitar, Cresselia, Hitmontop, etc.

I actually use things like Torterra, Rotom-H, Victreebel, and Medicham (although Victreebel is on a different VGC team). It's something a bit out of the box, and I do pretty damn well with it.

Yes, stall is actually pretty popular in VGC, sableye absolutely destroys most VGC teams when you trick choice scarfs unto things like cresselia and will-o-wisps metagross/hitmontop.

Just dont use blissey, and be prepared to fake out a lot.
