>boring region>just an opinionI don't even see how you can argue against that. Johto and Kanto were a clear-cut case of "quantity over quality." I mean, Johto was cool, but it was tiny and short compared to any "full" region. And to compensate, we had a retread through an empty hollow version of kanto that I can't honestly see how anyone could possibly like.
It's one of those things where it was OMG SO AMAZING when you first beat G/S and found out you got to go to kanto afterwards. But you grow up and that wow-factor stops clouding your vision, and you see that it really wasn't for the best at all.
