Mostly thanks to characterization of the protags really.
Pokespe White is shit. Or rather her personality in the manga is too different from my headcanon.
Partly due to her fanart my headcanon pictured her as some sort of dependable big sister or badass tomboy but in the manga she's just such a sissy I just can't read it anymore.

Also it's too long for me.
Also people don't hate it here.

I've read the specials up to the last bit of the heart gold bit, though god knows why they stopped doing scanlations past that. The only issue I ever really had with it are the chapters that focus on characters that should'nt have it- yellow I could understand, she's not the worst thing in the world, but Emerald, UGH that design was heresy to my eyes, At that point I didn't give two shits about plot importance, I just skipped to where the ACTUAL characters got released. And may doesn't seem right as she was portrayed at first (dat snaggle teeth), but at least they had a good reason plot-wise why she was like that.

And that's it. Those are my only real complaints. The one off-shoot complaint I have is how people keep referencing when Arbok got cut in half, yet never mention IT FREAKING REGENERATED AND RECOVERED. And yet somehow omit the rotting zombie pokemon corpses walking around, but that's the fandoms fault.

She's Sapphire in special, and the Game one had no personality, even as an NPC.

It's got one or chapters left before we get BW2, probably only for a few chapters before Kusaka moves onto XY.

The past few have actually been before one we already had earlier this year (Black/Reshi vs N/Zek), and the gap from the normal sequence of events still hasn't led to that in any real way.

So whether we'll get the gap filled, we get the end of N and Black, or if we get the Ghetis fight in what's left for the magazine run who the fuck knows.

I read up to the middle of Diamond and Pearl arc, then the scanlations I was reading fell behind and I never caught up. Shame because I really liked DP. Emerald was terrible tho, plot and character.

In general, what it lacks in quality it makes up for in heart. Its really stupid a lot of the time, but I'm having fun anyway. Also, it's been helping me tolerate the pokemon designs I really hate.
