I just caught my first Shiny ever so I think its time for another Shiny Pokemom Story Thread

I ran into a Shiny Golbat in Platinum, in the special part of Victory road where you team up with that Arcanine girl. It was a double battle with the Golbat and a Graveller. Basically the least ideal situation possible. I don't even remember how it all happened, but I caught it in the end.

Couple years later I'm EV training in Soul Silver, and I run into a shiny Zubat. So now I've got a pair of shiny Crobat.

Then in Black I ran into a shiny Boldore while walking through Twist mountain one morning.

I also got a shiny Eevee in Diamond, but that was through a day or two of soft resetting.

The fact that I never found a shiny in Black 2 bothers me. I should get on that.

My only shiny to date is lugia. SR'd for an entire game of thrones episode and got it on the last one as the credits rolled. (was gonna stop as soon as it ended to save my sanity). I have a bad feeling I ran into a shiny shinx one time but was too exhausted to notice and ran from it.

They're usually really shitty shinies though. At least the duskull is usable for a change. My firered game gave me the Worst Shiny Beedrill in the World, timid nature with 6 HP and 0 ATK.

I evolved her and she's a pretty Manectric now. 01/06 was my grandma's 13th death anniversary and she knew I loved Pokémon back then. Couldn't help but think about her when I received my very first shiny in more than 10 years playing.

I've seen two shinies total since they've been introduced and one was a Graveler that self destructed after he broke out of my Quick Ball. I've spent maybe thousands of hours on the game and have bred more than thousands of pokemon. My asshole friend who hasn't played since Red goes out to buy Black and finds three shinies during his play through. I know they're nothing special and I can do without them, but it just feels wrong.

I didn't play since Crystal and on my first White2 playthough my first shaking bush was an adamant shiny audino, the level 35 Volcarona was shiny without any soft resets and when I was making my way to juniphers lab I found a shiny watchog.

To be honest, I'm no competitive player. I simply like to breed and collect them all. I don't care about IVs or EVs, so, even if she's useless, I'm going to use her in-game someday.

About hacked, copied or RNG's, it's quite possible because she's from Hoenn (easiest generation to hack things). But, as I said before, I'm more a in-game person, so it doesn't really matter. I lack of luck, who knows when I'm going to really catch a shiny pokémon myself.

i was like 7 and i was playing ruby and in victory road i found a shiny golbat. it was not a normal shiny tho, it had a greyish palette (if you don't believe me just google it) but i couldn't catch it because i didn't have other balls other than the master ball, and the masterball was sacred. also i didn't have idea of what shinies were. that was the only legit wild shiny i have ever found.
the only other legit shiny (and non-RNG'd too) i have ever seen was like two months ago, during a match in the battle factory. an obese hiker sent a purple wartortle against me and i was raging so much.

I used a program called Enciclopedia Pokemon to get a gen 3 shiny off an emulated game. Well, more like I replicated it down to the PID in Pokesav which caused a trash byte error since it wasn't transferred to gen 4 correctly.

However I do remember reading something about how to emulate a transfer to a gen 4 game as well. Like you open up DS emulator and mess around with the second cart option or something weird. Been ages.

TLDR; Its complicated so look around online.

i haven't tried emulating a ds game with dual slot mode, ever, but i do think you can emulate your gba rom as being in your ds emulator
and i think desmume lets you set your wireless network either in its own options or through a ds game, because i've traded a japanese mystery gift mew from my emulated jap soulsilver to eng soulsilver after it came out in the states
