Accuracy lowering moves are allowed, evasion boosting moves are not.

And its not banned on a basis of principles and hating luck. It's banned because whenever evasion is allowed the game becomes literally nothing but evasion because there's no practical way to counter it.

This. Almost every other competitive battler plays by Smogon's rules. Plus, most of the online simulators won't let you go into OU or lower if you have an abomasnow and one or two pokemon with snow cloak.

He was banned because he was faster than most pokemon, and with his sand veil, could put in a sub, and wait for a miss to then use swords dance. Then he would sweep you. And also the one pokemon that could survive him switches in, uses ice beam, it misses and he gets OHKO'd

Aura Sphere is pretty good, and with all the rain, Thunder and Hurricane effectively negate evasion, but even with these, I still say fuck no to Double Team
