That was fine, as was Rotom's new forms changing type. There was about 2 or 3 years between those, and there was actually reason to make such a change. This would be changing established types after 15 years. It's not impossible, but it would be quite silly.

I believe Fairy type is real. I do not believe they will change any Pokemon's type. Besides strawmon arguments, there is no logical reason to do so.

I personally would like them to change some types, such as Clefairy being part Fairy type. But it probably won't happen.

I would love to see a bunch of pokemon get new typings, or at the very least have the type match up chart be rebalanced so its actually fair competitively, and yes, I KNOW gamefreak doesn't care about competitive battling (although I think it's more like they DO care, and when they give pokemon a good ability to keep up, such as bibarel getting Moody, it gets instantly banned anyway so they just said fuck it)
