>>12531437Ok, if you do not already know the premise of the game let me explain it to you.
The game doesn't actually take place in the feudal era, instead it takes place in a country very far from the 5 regions we already know, so they never invented pokeballs or anything like that, so they live as though it were the feudal era. The technology is pretty much like a modernized ancient japan.
I digress.
First off, you don't actually catch the pokemon you encounter; instead you befriend them and build a stronger link with it. The pokemon in your party are technically yours, they wont run away even if your link with it is practically zero. But establishing a strong link helps the pokemon get stronger and more loyal.
The primary objective of the game is to conquer all of the neighboring kingdoms in the area. You have to overthrow the warlords and their armies before you are entitled to their kingdom, and a bonus if you beat their army, one or more of the enemies are eligible to join your party.
All in all, the game is pretty fantastic, i dont feel like giving away any more spoilers, but i strongly recomend it.
