>>12536068It would still break the game and make no fucking sense. Literally no sense at all. Pokemon are a certain type, it would have to alert the opposing trainer that it was a different type, it wouldn't fit in the type's standard array of statistical distribution, it would be a red herring to your opponents on the same way as Zoroark, but actually broken. Besides that why would you want it anyway? Is it because your favourite pokemon isn't your favourite type? Or do you honestly think you're a better designer than the people who make Pokemon, one of the best-selling game franchises with a dedicated fanbase? If they want a Pokemon with similar stats and a similar movepool but different types than the ones they have, they'll just design a new Pokemon and make it fit into the game properly and sensibly, instead of fucking with the current Pokemon. People have been talking about alternate types for Pokemon since fucking Gold and Silver were announced. Gamefreak hasn't done it yet, and I'm sure they're not about to start catering to the lowest, most idiotic, most niche fucking desire of a very small percentage of the fans when it will alienate children, traditionalists, casuals, competitive battlers, and just about every other fucking person who likes Pokemon now.
Jimmies fucking rustled after reading this bullshit about alternate typing so much here.
