What is the best story to have ever come from pokemon.

Pic related. It was the only one that was actually good and not just good by pokemon standards

But B/W didn't have a bad story. In fact I'd say it's good. Not 'good for pokemon' but more like 'good for a JRPG made in the 90s'. It can only get better from there, I'd argue.

Also Explorers. Ranger isn't bad either. I found Guardian Signs rather endearing even.

Problem with stories in pokemon as a whole (Mystery Dungeon being the only exception) is that the characterized people are never actually fighting. Hard to really get into it if there's action going around, but we don't get to know the characters who are actually fighting (the pokemon)
