>>12539925>To plan every episode I'm pretty sure they need way more than two to three weeks. They don't just make this stuff up on the spot. And they wouldn't do a skit about Sylveon's type if they knew nothing about it.Not trying to come off as a "My dad works at Nintendo" type but having worked on several TV shows myself I can tell you that where as some sections on magazine shows are filmed a few weeks in advance this is actually quite rare and only done with a complicated shoot or when a guest has limited availability.
99% of the time stuff for magazine shows (eg Pokemon Smash, The One Show, This Morning etc) is actually written the same week as the broadcast, often within a day or two and sometimes just made up on the hop on the day or improvised to a plot.
They might well have done a skit about Sylveon's type without knowing anything other than the fact that it is a new type if the purpose of that skit was to tease by eliminating possible types, which they can do by showing strengths and weaknesses that don't match up with any current type. Now, for this purpose it doesn't matter if what has been shown actually matches what the strengths and weaknesses of the new type turn out to be as long as the skit shows it's not a known type. Those strengths and weaknesses could well match the new type but as far as strength against ice goes I doubt it because the purpose of new types the last time was to bring more balance to the types, that's not going to happen if they proceed to fuck ice further up the arse. Unless, of course, there is another new type that ice is the only foil for (but then that adds to the balance problem as well).
