Ok, once and for all: screw remakes. SEQUELS is the new shit. Hoenn needs a sequel to fix all the shit a remake never can. In another thread, there were some great suggestions that will kick the shit out of any remake:

> happens somewhere around at the same as X/Y
> new pokedex
> new sidequests
> WALLY AS THE CHAMPION

>sootopolis has erupted, creating a large new island full of obsidian, lava flows, and fire types while at the same time reducing the amount of water routes to a reasonable amount
>new land routes up by mt. chimney
>pacifilog drift down the rapids and crashed on that tiny island and is now connected to the main world map near mt. pyre.
>new routes that go through the islands down near the battle frontier
>post-game area similar to the sevii islands with lots of shit to do
> Battle Brendan at the end of the game
