Getting a Surfer for your team isn't hard, just fish in a route. I'm not a fan of the idea of caatching an HM slave that isn't first in the route, but I guess if there's nothing else you can do.

My nuzlocke rules

>one ball purchase per town/mart
>no more than three balls at any time, exception, buying a 4th, 5th, ect ball at new town/mart. You're always guaranteed an additional ball at every new town/mart

Major ohshit moment just happened.
Facing Proton in SacredGold, he had his Voltorb use Toxic on practically the entire party. Switching to try and avoid the Screeches he was throwing out, and then Voltorb used SelfDestruct.
I lived.
Toxic didn't even kill me.

Grinding for Drayden in BlazeBlack 2.
I had some really shit luck with catches (read: too much water and a jigglypuff i critted to death). I also had a Rapidash and Zangoose that both died while grinding. Starting to think the only way to handle Drayden is to outspeed him with overleveled TOP GUN.

Throw Baltoy and Cottonee into your party and try to overlevel them. Not sure if BlazeBlack changes it's ability, but Prankster and Cotton Spore or Stun Spore would help out whenever, but it might get a bit dicey. Also Claydol rocks out everywhere.

Managed not to lose anyone to gym battles so far, though I had a close call when Titanite almost died to dream eater against Morty's haunter.

Babby has become the major force of my team, much to my surprise. Extrasensory has been extremely effective, and his headbutt is surprisingly powerful. Also invaluable in searching for new team members. Was trying for a heracross in azalea town when I got Monkeytrouble.

Are there any hacks that would be suitable for use as a base for a storylocke set in Kanto's past? I've already used FR Omega, Der Erif and Alt Evos so really just looking for a hack that changes the gym leaders/E4 so they aren't the same themes, in order to portray it as "Kanto 20 years ago".

Not that I know of, going to eventually find someone to trade with in WFG maybe, to evolve Femchop and maybe Plod, and try and get a Jirachi to unlock another Pokewalker course. Might ask them to take it to Mt. Coronet and use a rare candy on it, but Magneton is still pretty decent.

On the plus side, the team is looking pretty good. I taught Samus brick break and together she and Krystal took care of the rival fight in Hearthome. Forgot Prinplup wasn't part steel yet, so that almost went bad though.

Now I'm focusing on maxing out Rosalina's happiness so she'll learn Magical leaf when she evolves next level.

Also I just realized my entire team is female as are most of my catches

Well since I can't get the .RAR to work I'll do the next best thing.

Starting off on my magical adventure with (Big) Barda the Impish Bulbasaur, who just pissed all over DICK's Charmander. It isn't perfect but since I don't plan on metagaming much through this I really don't have a problem. And I guess we're off.

If anybody's really interested I guess I'll be running the usual rules - Hardmode Death, 1 Pokemon/Route no Repeats, oh and instead of the 1 ball/mart I'm just going to have a maximum of only 6 balls at a time that I can BUY, and they all have to be Pokeballs. Any other balls I find or get in events are fine.

Some people if they white-out continue as normal with reserves from the boxes.
Also some people keep their dead Pokemon in the boxes.
As in, I'm doing SoulSilver on my cartridge and I'm keeping my 'dead' Pokemon in the box as I plan to play the cart normally after I finally defeat Red. I would also take reserve Pokemon from my boxes if I whited out. (although that would be a grind I'd honestly not feel like doing at all.)

Same thing here for the ROM release. On carts its a bigger deal to release a starter pokemon than say on a ROM. After all you may want to use certain catches, especially if you found a shiny/caught it and it later fainted.

Fucking Liepards, man.. My team is too slow to outrun them. They've killed two of my Pokémon with crazy crit hacks (5 Crit Fury Swipes and a Crit Pursuit when I tried to switch out? Fuck you!) and I've already lost my Swoobat to Cheren (I was healing my Palpitoad that was at -2 Def because of his Razor Shell and it got a crit on the turn I switched in my bat..).

I'm down to a Pignite, Palpitoad and an Archen (I'm not allowed to use the PC to store Pokémon). I'm at Elesa and have no more catches. How fucked am I?

Oh wow, I may have actually skipped my catch there because the first mon I ran into was a Rattata while I still had Patty. Geeze, I better go catch something from there.

Either way, Barda destroyed the trainer in Brock's gym and is now Level 12. I could probably sweep Brock pretty easily right now. But I think I will catch something else first.

Well I've officially swept the living hell out of Brock with Barda, so I suppose I'm off to the depths of Mt. Moon here in a bit. Also, Piper is leveling extremely fast which I suppose is a good thing - I need another Mon or two to take down Misty next.

you should probably get Elysia up to an Alakazam if she has decent stats. Yakui and Opal probably aren't going to be that helpful, either. Aria might be worth evolving if you can. Darl's evolution will also be extremely strong, and is practically a straight upgrade to Regal.

Opal is staying. She's been amazing this whole playing, singlehandedly defeated Lance.

You'd need the event Jirachi from gamestop, not just a wishmaker Jirachi or something.

Try and go over to Pokecheck and download one to open the route up possibly. Not many have those Jirachi on Gen 4 anymore. I had two but they're in Gen 5 now.

Pokewalkerlocke here,just beat Chuck, didn't lose anyone but almost lost my Plod the Slowpoke. Primeape + Double Team + Focus Punch is a nasty mix. Managed to get a lucky Hypnosis in from Nocta then a crit Confusion, and Delta took out Poliwrath in one hit.

Putting Plod in the walker and trying out Dim Cave for an Onix or Gastly, 750 - 5000 steps, will try the 50% chance for a Smoochum as well.

Grinding to 45 before the Elite 4. hopefully there won't be too many Full Restores in my future.
Replaced my Kadabra with Vince, who turned out to be a lot better than my previous thoughts, and will do much in the fight against Red, if I make it that far.

I won my FireRed Omega Nuzlocke but I lost Blondie and Kirby. Blondie fell to a perish song mean eye look, Kirby was crited.

Oh god... So i beat Ghetsis though he killed my newly trained Victini. On route 23 I caught an Amoongus after someone on the stream told me to go for the item in the grass......

And in Victory Road I got Misery the Mandibuzz, what an appropriate catch given the massive pile of bodies.

Now here's the question. I caught a Magikarp in the starting town and we're debating whether it is legal, given that you get your starter there. So I either add the gyarados or do the E4 with 5 dudes. What do you guys think?
