So after failing about 15 Emerald Nuzlocke attempts, I decided to try my luck with a more recent Pokemon game, and so far I'm doing pretty good.
First time playing White 2, and I gotta say, this is a really, really good Pokemon game, and it's great for Nuzlocking. You get Leftovers, Exp. Share, the Amulet Coin, and Evolite all by the third gym.
I am playing it on an emulator, though. I pretty much have to. I don't see how anyone can play Pokemon without a SPEED THE FUCK UP BUTTON, because I just don't have the time to grind shit when it takes like 15 seconds before I can even throw the first punch.
ANYWAY:
Just caught Carl and Parker today, thank god. I've be running into Trubbish/Sandile over and over again, and I have a rule against catching repeats, even if they're dead. So for that reason I've really had to grind Slick and Cyclops, and Cigarette.
And I wasn't even planning on using Cigarette. It was out of need that she was brought in, and she's being amazing so far. To be clear, I've used Weezings before, and had one on a competitive OU team during the 4th gen, which is why I wasn't going to use her here. But it's fun using a Koffing from level 18 on. That's a new experience. And her bulk helps the fuck out.
But like I said, happy to have some varied types on my team finally, though I'm worried about the upcoming flying Gym. I'm shitty against Steel and there's a Skarmory coming up. I figure I'll just do what I always do and just COIL THE FUCK UP with Slick and then go to town.
P.S. I can't wait to find a female Pokemon that I can name Phoenix so that Cyclops can scream JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN when she dies.
