Charizard and Typhlosion are, undoubtedly, the most popular starters of their respected generations. My question is, which starters would you consider to be the most popular of 3, 4, 5 and 6?

Having the most outspoken fans does not make them the most popular starter.

On that note, I have doubts about typhlosion and gen 2. Feraligatr has a decent fanbase in terms of size.
