It always seems as though the fan lure and theories are better than the actual game.
People make a big stink about the lavender town incident, but that other games would have taken it much further (mario rpg).
The way folks describe it, Pokemon is supposedly this epic tale with deep philosophical undertones and political intrigue.
Honestly there are better series out there and we are brandishing this to be the ultimate warriors' tale.
Why is that? Honestly it seems as though 50% of what we like about pokemon is all in our heads
