Hey, /vp/, did you ever have a best friend who used to play Pokemon with you when you were young?
I did.
I had a really close friend called Mac. He used to walk home with me from school. We were both around 10 when Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire came out. I had Sapphire and he had Ruby. We used to sit there for hours battling each other, going in each other secret bases and even just talking about the Pokemon we liked.
Then, a few months later, he moved away to Australia because his parents wanted to start a business there. In this time, I'd get other kids on the bus showing me their Pokemon on the bus and asking for battles, but it just wasn't the same.
Unfortunately, it didn't work out as they expected and they moved back several years later, around the release of Diamond and Pearl. I asked him if he'd play Pokemon again, he denoed it laughed at me for playing Pokemon. All of his friends began to make fun of me.
And then when I came out of the closet, he didn't want to associate with me in the slightest, he just held his nose up at me, the cunt.
So yeah, does anyone else have any stories to share?
