What do we mean with "power creep"?
The introduction of Pokémon actually stronger than previous, or rather the introduction of a wider range of strong Pokémon?

A Power Creep in any game is when new tools that completely outclass previous ones.
This happens to TCGs all the time so people will buy new cards.
In the games, newer Pokemon are becoming faster and more powerful. It's helped kill of Stall-based tactics, which many considered to be too slow.

I have noticed this. I used to stall like a pro back in DPP days, and if I tried to use my old team I would get raped with all of the powerful sweepers that hardly need setup.
