The blimp episode, Rudy, the entire second movie's subplot, and Misty being jealous of Macy were all plot points in the Japanese version as well. Jeez, Misty freaking out when the guy in the Hosos episode ask if she liked somebody wasn't even in the dub if I'm recalling correctly, they clearly were alluding to it on the off-chance May didn't work and they had to bring her back.
