Wasn't there something about how you had to not go on the boat, instead go get surf and strength, swim around the waters near the boat and use strength to lift a truck and then mew was under the truck or something?

Basically, Bill's house had a gap behind it in RB, and everyone back in the day wanted to know what was back there. So naturally there were roomers and long rediculous made up "codes" to get behind his house where apparently he had an airplane and a swimming pool or something.

Anyway, it usually ended with you being able to fight Flareth or Pikablu and getting to capture them. General early internet kneejerking conducted by 8-12 year olds.

You can go on the boat, you just have to not LEAVE the boat after getting the HM from the captain.
There's a couple ways to do this, but the easiest is just to get the HM, then get into a trainer battle and lose, which sends you back to the Pokemon Center.

In yellow theres actually three different ways to get mew in blue and red I think one each? Dont believe the people who tell you "hurrrr you can't without game shark hurrrr" because I have one of each version and mews on all three. They are just little glitches. Some involving missing no. But yes I do remember the truck and bills house story. unfortunately neither of those work.

I think you can only catch Mew in Yellow. I've actually done it in Yellow so I know it works. You need Fly, though. And don't forget the Pokeball.

Nope. It works on all gen1 games. And you don;t need fly, teleport works just as well

agreed teleport works too. There's another way by using that grass in the route right before the youngster that you can catch abra in. I don't remember the details but I remember it working.
