one thing that really charges me is that it wont have the fluff the existing games have. the community is pandering to it's own anhero nature, which is great. along with its uber power + badass nature should lead to a cool plot (not unlike but more circle-jerking than what nintendo would have come up with).

They really shouldn't have settled on the South-American setting until after the dex was completed.
Most of the dex are now things based on South American mythology or native animals to that region. A lot of them suffer from "Let's take the concept, add a pattern, and call it a day" syndrome.
Some things don't even look like Pokemon, like those dark...bricks.
Too much waifu shit.
A shit ton of NEW COOL DUAL TYPES and pointless branching evos.
I mean it's lightly peppered with a few great designs, but if they plan on releasing this any time soon they're going to get a lot of flak for the dex.
