Hey, so I wanna play Gen V before XY, I have been too poor to play until now.

Question is: can/should I skip Black/White and go straight to B/W2?

You can, but you sort of shouldn't.

Unless you're one of those "the main game is basically a tutorial for the competitive mode and you should be able to skip it" kind of people. Then I guess it's fine.

But in any other situation, playing BW2 without playing BW1 is like playing G/S without playing R/B/Y. I'd really recommend playing it before the second one. And don't forget to get the same version (White 2 if you played White 1, etc)

Slowpoke is slow and the Flash is fast.
So a Slowpoke with Flash power will go at normal speed right?

Despite what faggots here will tell you, if you've already been a loyal customer to the franchise and are strapped for cash, there's no shame or harm in just using a ROM. It's stupidly easy to play DS games for free
