That won't happen for a long time. They've already remade Kanto in FR/LG and in HG/SS. They'll remake Hoenn next, since it's the only which hasn't had a remake yet.

And no, some are very clearly more popular than others, and if money is a factor (which it obviously is), they'll pander to the largest base. R/B and R/S are the only ones that need to be remade. One is the highest selling pair of the franchise, and the other is the lowest discounting the ongoing gen.

It is if you do it right, far more of a certain cash-in than remakes of the lowest selling generation. Larger base, at a time where HG/SS brought in a plethora of older players back into the game; it's almost certain to succeed if they do it during next gen.

But as of the 3DS, you can no longer play it, you'd need to use an outdated system. I'm sure they don't hold that much of a grudge over RSE's sales, especially considering how many people seem to want them remade. Game Freak would have to be filled with pretty immature people if they aren't going to remake a game just because they didn't sell AS good as the other games. RSE was still rather popular, despite having the lowest sales compared to the others of the series.

Like what I said in >>12584819 , you can go to the entire Kanto region post-game. You can even battle all the gyms there. Sure, Kanto does need a remake, but nowhere as bad as Hoenn.

They're not going to skip over them because they apparently sold poorly which they totally didn't. And don't try to tell me "it's because you can still transfer Pokemon from R/S/E to newer gens, so we don't need remakes." Do you know how much of a fucking hassle it is to do that? You literally need three games and a DS that can play GBA games which they don't make anymore by the way as well as another DS. On top of that, you'll need to now transfer it to a 3DS, which means it's going through yet another system. Remakes are happening, now shut the fuck up about it already.
