So, I am at Virbank and I have a Dewott and a Riolu (probably will evole tomorrow during the day). What should my next pokemon be?

Just go with the generic team everyone's using: Samurott, Lucario, Arcanine/Magmortar/Electivire, Eeveelution, Flygon, Filler

Wow, is it really that generic of a team? Cause that describes my team pretty good (replace Arcanine/Electivire/Magmortar with Chandelure and the filler with Crobat)

Don't immediately evolve it, since Arcanine won't learn any new moves. Go to Bulbapedia or something to get the learnset for Growlithe to decide when you want to evolve it.

Don't bother worrying about EVs and IVs until the post-game.
Also, since you're at Virbank I'd say get a Magnemite. Magnezone is good to have and would support your current team.

so after looking at the skills, growlithe learns flamsthrower at 34 and crunch at 39 but arcanine learn extreme speed at 34. will arcanine learn extreme speed if he evolves after 34? crunch seems really useful

Get Growlithe to level 45 for Flare Blitz I'd say. When you evolve it to Arcanine you can use the move relearner in Driftveil to teach it Extremespeed.

Yes, yes. It's a town you visit, the move relearner is just outside the Pokemon World Tournament (you'll know what that is too)
