So I want to buy pokemon cards cheaply, and sell them on ebay for a profit.

Can anybody give me advice on this? I'm keen on doing Lots of a few commons, uncommones, rares and the occasional EX/gold start at random. I just wouldn't know how much to price it at to make a decent profit.

Any advice on the matter is appreciated

Pokémon is the wrong TCG for that. Compared to other TCGs, Pokémon cards aren't worth shit.

The only way to really make a profit with trading cards is buying a huge amount of them on relase date, hoping for good cards and selling those online. But that's mostly luck. If you draw shit cards, you won't get your money back and you'll be stuck with worthless cards that nobody wants.

Nearly all un/common/non-holo rare cards are worthless unless there's a misprint, holo rares will get you maybe $3 - 10. The only cards actually worth something are Charizard cards, misprints, or limited print things typically. Sometimes first edition or shadowless base set cards too.

Pokémon sells well because the cards are cheap.
If you're thinking about selling in large volumes, open up an online store, buy a large amount of displays, open everything and sell single cards. Most of the shit you draw you can't really sell, but people building new decks who need basic cards will buy them. You CAN sell the occasional ultra-rare cards for about 20-30 bucks though.

I'd really not expect more from this than breaking even though.
