So many things can go wrong but at the end of the day I still have my cartridges with me, even if something happens to me 3DS.

I got Sticker Star digitally because I didn't want to bother driving all the way to GameStop, but the rest of my 3DS games are physical. Times are changing m8.

Like steam, just log into your club nintendo and click something like "my collection" and you can download it on any DS, and it would check if you're signed in before letting you play. Files could be uploaded/downloaded by a cloud, too. That's literally all that keeps me from digitally buying all of my 3DS games.

I wasn't calling them idiots, just pointing out that the convenience is for something more reliable like a PC or even the WiiU.
Besides they take up a lotta space so aside from paying the full price I still gotta buy a pretty big SD card or a bunch of small ones if I want more than one game on it.

I'll save my digital downloads for DLC or games specifically made for the eShop.

That's pretty much just as inconvenient as having cartridges.

animal crossing is very pick up and play, put it down, come back later. I did the digital copy so I can do just that. digital just makes more sense to me for AC. In a few months to a year I'd probably put down the cartage for other games. I dont carry all my games on me all the time so I would basically be loosing all that little detail stuff in the long run that makes AC fun. down side is i want to play now and this DL is taking forever. been almost an hour and it's at like.... 48% or so

Well, ok, but even the eShop only apps can take up a lot of room. Mighty Switch Force and Pokedex 3D Pro are second only to Sticker Star in space taken up, and are the reason I am currently waiting for a new SD card to be delivered.
If you plan on downloading any type of substantial application, a new SD card is a worthwhile investment.
