>>12605429Thanks fellow nostalgiabro, I also view Gen I and II as one big generation. The Gen II games took us back to Kanto after we explored a new land, which felt as though it expanded the pokemon world rather than transplanting us into a completely alien environment where it just didn't feel like "Pokemon" anymore. I wish the newer games had followed this example and took us back to the older regions after defeating the main quest, changing them just enough to make it more interesting. Pokemon from Gen II were introduced more gradually to the fans (a couple showed up in the introductory vignette to the First Movie, with none at all appearing in the movie itself). And who can forget the fact that Ho-Oh was in the first episode of the anime? The newfags just don't understand us so they bash us and call us names. I'm happy for them though because they enjoy the games and keep the franchise alive. I'll always have the first two Gens to enjoy, and nothing can take them away.
