Currently using a Mono-Normal team and it is doing gangbusters. The Normal type gets a lot of shit it doesn't deserve. 1 weakness, only two types wall it, and it shares an immunity with Ghost. Given the nature of the moves and how the type just gets better every gen, I'm gonna be using it for a while.

I ran a Mono Poison team in Emerald, it was actually really fun. Emerald had good diversity in poison types.

Yes. Dragon. Its been my things since gen III. I have trouble finishing a game without a team of Dragons or suitably similar pokemon. Trouble as in; I keep resetting the game because im not having fun.

Not really. I've wanted to, but I can't be bothered to wait forever to get the Pokemon I want (if possible), and I feel that by trading them in, it's a little too easy (especially with the bonus experience).

I might do in gen' 6 once I try out all the new Pokemon.

Well, "suitably similar" is key. You can get a Dratini at the game corner in Gen I and II, Swablu and Trapinch are available pretty son in Gen III and from there it does get kinda sparce buttfuck you.

I entered a monotype team tournament with a Psychic team, and that was pretty fun. I used it again as Caitlin in a Gym Leader tournament some of my friends and I had and I won because somehow Musharna is a goddamned great tank.

I also used a mono-bug team for shits and giggles in the OU ladder for a while and it was pretty interesting.

Find your top 5 favorite Pokemon and it may or may not be obvious from there.

If not, find the features you like about your favorite Pokemon and see if the other Pokemon in that type share that feature, and you can just base your favorite type on that. If your favorite is an exception rather than a rule, like Absol or something, then just go to your second favorite or whatever.
