All right /vp/, you fucking faggots, I need your advice.

I usually avoid faggotry like this, but I want to watch the Pokemon Anime. Where should I start?

I remember catching episodes of it when I was a kid, saw mostly 1st season. Should I start over and watch from that first season, or should I skip to a more recent season, or just start watching this current season? Should I watch movies first? Is there a point at which it gets "good"? I just want to see some decently choreographed "actiony" pokemon battles guys. and maybe try to appreciate the plot

Start with Hoenn, avoid all the filler episodes and that'd make it about 20 episodes per season so you understand the main events.
Every season gets good til the end.
I'd say also watch the contest episodes so you know a bit about the trainers when they come back in a different season (May in Sinnoh and Dawn in BW)

Avoid the movies for now cause they're pretty much pointless to the anime.

It would be a lot, I decided that I was going to try out the anime at the end of last year and I watch a few episodes every now and then, I'm currently on Season 16, Adventures In Unova.

You pretty much already know the story from Gen one. Gen two (Johto) was pretty much just filler.

Do all of Johto, skip around in Hoenn wherever you want, skip Sinnoh, and you can skip around in Unova, but you must watch the N arc.

I dunno.

Sinnoh was generally shit, but the Paul, Gym and League battles might be worth watching.

Even if Hax-bias was in that arc, it's still worth a go.

The only thing about Sinnoh that's embarrassing to watch is Galactic Finale and only because of the FORCED connection between the heroes and Lake Trio.

The 4Kids dub had its charms, but the TPCi dub is just obnoxious when it's trying to be funny, and painfully dull when it's not. Toss bad acting and awkward scripts on top of that.
