I'm all for welcoming a new type into pokemon and I don't mind fairy type. In fact I like it, hopefully it will give some previous pokemon before a new place in the metagame and put Dragon types in their place when they've been running so rampant in OU etc.

But my question is this. How does a "Fairy" type logically work? I mean look at all the elements:

Fire types obviously use fire and heat attacks
Water types use water
Poison types use acidic and toxic substances for attacks
Ice uses ice
Rock uses rocks
Psychic uses telekinesis and mind inducing attacks
Fighting obviously refers to, well, fighting. Or more specifically specialized fighting techniques
Dark refers to 'below-the-belt' attacks and underhand trickery
Grass uses wood, grass, plants and leaves for attacks

You get the idea.

But what logically makes a 'Fairy' type attack?
