I remember a tale I was told when I was a kid in preschool. There was this big bowl shaped pit on a mountain near where I lived. And in the story of how it came to be some guy finds a bunch of fairies/elves on the top of the mountain. Some shit happens, iirc he falls in love with one of the elves/fairies so the fairies makes him dance until he was dancing on the bloody stumps of his legs and they made him continue to dance until he was just a head jumping up and down.

Shit, I wish I remember the name of the tale.
