Team Red and Pikachu are the only Pokemon who deserve to be this game. There are far too many pokemon as it is.

Any other Pokemon are just flavor of the season shit and will always wind up not fitting on the roster in time.

At most just give me an alternate Female Trainer variation to play.

They're likely keeping Brawl's roster and adding a few more character, but less than what they did with Melee and Brawl. A roster of 45-50 looks likeliest. So no one is being cut out.

Mewtwo and his Formes will represent 6th Gen, all the other Pokemon characters stay, maybe a surprise Gen 3 or Gen 5 Pokemon.

Seeing as how we were Surprised by the Wii Fit Girl it wouldn't put it past me that Sakurai would include one of the most Popular and Overused Pokemon Character. Seriously Cynthia was all over Gen 4 both in her origin game, and made an appearance in the Gen 4 Gold and Silver, and along with that She has a place in Gen 5, which hasn't really happned with any other Champion, She is also appeared in the anime quite often.

I want Cynthia in Brawl. Now Pls.

Pokemon Trainer will remain. The only newcomer will be N, who will have a Snivy, Pignite, and Samurott "borrowed from a good friend of his for the competition". His final smash will replace them with Reshiram for a short while.
