I dislike that Bat dragon has giant bat ears on its head.
Everything seems so sleek and quick about it, then it has that mickey mouse hat on its head. Dragons with large round ears? Seems silly to me

For those of you who can't speak French, its name is pronounced VIH-VEE-ONG, but the NG is very soft, almost not pronounced.

Not sure what the "Vivi" comes from, but the "llon" part comes from "papillon", the French word for butterfly.

They aren't compound eyes. Tons of other bug-types have compound eyes.

I just ignore it. They look like a classic little "floating hands" sort of deal that you sometimes see on cartoon characters. I still think this bug looks sort of cyborg-ish, and if that is the case, I imagine floating limbs would not be out of the realm of possibility. They look double-sided, like they flip around and have like a cannon on the other side or something. I like how it looks all modular.

The eyes are like that because butterfly eyes are compound. Your edit just makes it look like a generic fairy and has little insect aspect about it.
