I agree to a certain point, a slightly overweight person who eats healthy and exercises regularly can be just as healthy, if not more, than someone in the normal weight range who eats nothing but refined sugars, carbs and fatty meats and doesn't exercise. But if you weight 300 lbs, unless you're incredibly tall, you're unhealthy, at least in the sense that you're putting your body at risk of several medical conditions.
