Consider this, /vp/oerons. Picture says it all. I doubt they'd show Chespin using Aerial Ace if it was a Dark/Rock/Ground whatever type.

There are many non-flying type Pokémon that learn Aerial Ace. Even some starters like Quilava, for example.

What logic? The logic that other Pokémon learn it? Well, Dugtrio, Persian, Scyther, Scizor, Kabutops, Skarmory, Farfetch'd, Sceptile, Seviper, Yanmega, Gliscor, Cryogonal, Druddigon and Gallade all learn Night Slash and aren't Dark types, yet people are still pretty certain that Chespin's a Dark type.
