A lot of existing Pokémon could be realistically reclassified as Fairy. So many in fact that it could theoretically pass up Flying as the most prolific type. I don't think Gamefreak will do that, though, and a few that we all think ought to be Fairy will likely remain untouched.

I see Fairy as beginning as the least populous type, just after Ghost.
