So while I excited E3 broke my heart a bit with the new trailer. It's on a powerful system the 3DS and they are still using cries over voiceovers like in the anime? What the fuck Nintendo.

because it's a means for viewers to remember that specific Pokemon's name. Not the best way but a basic and effective way nonetheless. Remember, the show IS geared towards kiddies. As to why they didn't change it later on, the only other reason (besides what i stated at the beginning) is continuity and/or nostalgia.

Save for the JP ones. Love Scraggy's JP voice over its US one. But you are right. I actually heard Porygon's anime voice and I'd rather the game's version.

The reason they don't have the actual noises in the anime is because back in the good ol' days of 1996, it'd be the stupidest shit on TV. You'd have people talking normally and turn to a pokemon and ask them something, and then you'd have to suffer through it stuttering through an 8-bit noise cluster fuck that sounds like dubstep gone wrong. The transition would be disgusting.

The real question here, is why the fuck don't they update those shit sounds already? I'm sick of hearing a Zapdos sound like an electric fart.
