No other species evolves twice though. Charmander evolves once and then it's a charmeleon. Charmeleon only evolves once into a charizard.

but Rhydon, Magmar, and Dusclops still very well exist in every Pokemon game since they've been introduced and after their evos were. They're still in the dex. You can still obtain them. You can still battle with them. They're still Pokemon.

What's stopping you from keeping them? What force am I not seeing that's keeping you from still liking your supposedly-favorite mons that you can seem to just forget about because of an evolution you don't even like?

No Pokemon evolves more than once, guy. We've got a couple with two or more options, Eevee being the most, Kirlia and Slowpoke being examples of others that have more than one option, but that's it.

Not in line for one, his stats are too goddamn high.

I think the only ones we can really build an argument for are Parasect, Ariados, Masquerain, Ledian, Sudowoodo, Delibird, Farfetch'd, Corsola, Kricketune, Delcatty, Raticate, Furret, Watchog, and Pachirisu.

Maybe Dugtrio, if Arena Trap gets reworked to suck.

When they can think of a good way to make it different from Scyther, Scizor, and Heracross.
If Pinsir became a but/steel type, it would still kinda be overshadowed buy other bugs who can do similar things, but better.

Possibly giving it a rock, ground, or ghost typing to really set it apart and be unique from other bugs and valuable in some way that accentuates its strengths would be better than just rushing out a generic and poorly thought out evo simply for the sake of creating an evo.
