The reason is that with Pokémon Amie you can easily get your Pokémon to like you which results in a 100 BP Return, 150 with STAB.

Immunity to Ghost. Ghost/Normal will get 3 immunity and only weakness to dark.

Other type maybe stab for extremespeed or return for competitive.

Having a weakness to dark is ok, since its such a shit attacking type, now that I think about its a pretty shit defensive type also. Though you would have to be wary of Pursuit.
