What does everyone think of the new Pokemon names for the 4 revealed Wednesday? I think Litleo is a really good name, Scatterbug and Spewpa are cool, idk wtf Flabebe means

Actually they kind of are.
Bulbasaur- Bulb, Dinosaur
Charmander- Char, Salamander
Squirtle- Squirt, Turtle

I agree Talonflame wasn't done right, but Scatterbug isn't much different than a lot of other names. Besides, once the games come out no one is going to care anyway

At least Scatterbug sounds natural and has a good flow to it. "Talonflame" is the most lazy, awkward shit name I've heard. It's like what an 8 year old with limited vocabulary would name his fakemon.

How on earth could you possibly think it's derived from Litterbug??

Seriously, on what level, the pokemon doesn't litter, and the only letters shared between "litter" and "scatter" are "er", one of the most common suffixes in the English language.

I am not letting this go, justify the statement now.

said, and paraphrasing a previous anon, parts flying off it's fur/wings seem to be this evolution line's motiff. Adding to that, it's name is 'Scatterbug', which leads one to assume that the bits of it's fur get scattered about everywhere.
In other words, it's littering it's discarded fur pieces on the forest floor.
Like litter.

Litleo is great for it's multiple meanings.
Little. Lit(as in a flame), Litter, It's great.

Scatterbug is there with Talonflame and Falbébé is....fitting.

Real lion cubs don't have that tail fluff, though. It's usually only on adult males. Also, the tuft is shaped quite like a scorpion tail; it even points in the proper direction.
