Cutesy pokemon are a thing, nobody can deny that- from Clefairy to Sylveon, they exist and rightly so.

But shit like this?

When a pokemon family is supposed to be monstrous, its base forms should be too.

On /vp/, I've seen a Helioptile re-drawn with a snout and eyes that really fit it; it was great, 11/10 would train.
Think about what Helioptile's final evo should look like if the leaks are true:
>A big fuckin electric lizard-dragon-beast.

Now, for a pre-form of dragon-whatevers, what do you think seems more appropriate?
>A round, big, goofy ass head with giant soulless eyes, a painted on mouth, and mickey-mouse ears?

OR

>A snout, some teeth, claws, a neck, lizard eyes, pointed ears, and a real goddam mouth?

I'm sure a lot of people love the 'cute' forms of some pokemon, but as with most gen starters 1&3 notably and other more prefered 'cute' designs Pikachu, Starly, Torchicwe see that this can be achieved without looking like a Disney rip-off.

I propose this:
Drawfags, Artfags, and Hack/Mod-fags

Re-create appropriate pokemon in light of less goofy-ass cartoony designs and eventually be able to replace the in-game sprites.

I'm not much of a draw-fag as I can't get my hands and my brain to work together unless it's typing (typos still run rampant), however I know what looks good.

hell I'd love to see a beak on fletchling that didn't look like a black grain of rice stuck to it's face, it'd still be cute and look much better

Hell, we might even catch on and influence GF. You can even choose whether or not to keep the designs or change them with each one after /vp/ gives them a makeover.
