Weather and SR are powerful, so a lot of teams use them. I wouldn't mind seeing less. The fact of the matter is, you don't need to make a specific team or have specific Pokemon on your party to be successful. You don't *need* a rapid spinner/bouncer to counter SR, simply playing your team and not switching often is the best counter to SR.
There's a dozen and a half ways to deal with weather. Counter-weather, weather abusers on your own team (such as having Swift Swimmers), or just having a well-balanced team.
Excadrill, something that was banned, absolutely NEEDED a counter weather/multiple priority users and dedicated revenge killers.
