Pikachu (and Raichu) are probably going to be Electric/Fairy.

I don't think it would be that big of a deal, to be honest. In fact, they really could get away with just not bringing it up at all in the anime. Hell, they got rid of Volt Tackle without so much as a batted eyelash. Besides, who the hell uses Pikachu OR Raichu?

Having Pikachu be a Dragon Slayer does seem like something they'd do. Even with the Light Ball and volt tackle, it isn't a very good pokemon competitively.

I doubt that, because of the reasons already cited (It's the mascot of franchise, etc.)
BUT, maybe Raichu can gain fairy as secondary type. I doubt that too, but I think it's more probable than Pikachu being re-typed.

It isn't. The animators are just dumb.

Dawn's Togekiss used to change size all the time. And Suicune in the 4th movie is a total joke. It changes size in EVERY scene.

I wanted to plan a reasonable comeback to OP's post saying why it is a ridiculosu idea and that they have nothing to do with fairies... but... Honestly, if Pikachu becomes a fairy, it'll make as much sense as when Maril was confirmed a Fairy...

Yeah, can someone please explain me why Maril is a fairy now? What does a water mouse have to do with fairies, elves, gnomes, pixies, forest spirits and the sorts?

It contains most if not all Dragons, as well as some snakes and reptiles, like Arbok and Scrafty I think. Most things in the Fairy egg group are now 'candidates' for getting a fairy type but not all of them will, probably only a handful. Pikachu may or may not be one of them. It's kind of hard to say which ones qualify when you have thigns like Marill and then things like Flabebe.
