So, is the whole Fire/Psy, Water/Dark, and Grass/Fighting thing confirmed for the starters.
If not, did anyone take this trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNr6wQfNfK4)
into account? It seems to support the idea.

But it's not a fair triangle (if that's what they're going for) since Dark is outright immune to Psychic rather than resistant.
Rock/Flying/Fighting would be better.

Fire/Fighting/Dark all sound stupid.

We already have a telekinetic fox, two different Grass/Dark Pokemon (and I don't see how this cute happy little Pokemon will turn dark) and I can't see Froakie as being anything other than a monotype.

Also, assuming you're the same guy you're responding to, we already have a pure Water frog anyway--three if you count Poliwag and Poliwhirl.

I can only see Froakie being Water/Fighting if they continue the journey to the west theme with one of the starters. That may actually turn out cool.

I don't really like the idea of Fire/Psychic Fennekin, but I'll keep an open mind. It all depends on the design.

I just can't see Chespin going dark, I really can't see any starter gaining dark type. I'm not sure what a plausible secondary type for him is though. Ground? I just don't know.

I think it's more likely to be aerial ace. There was a trailer that showed Talonflame using it and it has the same background effect as in BW2.
